Project Highlight: EADS – Jatasco

It is always exciting to highlight a recent project that we have completed. Today, we are showcasing an office/warehouse that we recently finished for an EADS Distribution Company (Jatasco) – right here in Tulsa, OK.

EADS – Jatasco was designed and developed for a manufacturing company that needed additional space. Stava Building Corporation designed a 30,000 square foot Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) to house the company’s manufacturing, break areas, employee facilities and offices. The building includes brick masonry veneer, exterior loading docks, and large fans for improved ventilation.

Thank you, EADS – Jatasco, for trusting your building project to Stava Building Corporation! We hope you enjoy your new space!

New Construction: Tulsa Federal Credit Union

It is time to feature one of our most recent projects! Tulsa Federal Credit Union  launched their new “look” in Skiatook with this beautiful, modern and inviting structure designed by Vice President of Architecture for SBC Architecture, Mike Dwyer, AIA. Mike’s creative perspective and vision for this new construction building truly transpired into a work of art. Skiatook welcomes the new building with pride and hope for more new construction in the coming years.

This design will become a staple for future newly constructed Tulsa Federal Credit Union’s across the area. With this new vision, Tulsa Federal Credit Union is confident their customers will be pleased and hopes new members will be drawn to the Union to experience the excellent services they provide.

Details of the project include 3600 SF, a structural steel and metal studs buildling, TPO Roof, and  continuous concrete foundation.

Starting a Construction Project

Many people come to us with one simple question, “Where do I start?” In fact, this question can be difficult to answer, especially if you are unsure of what you want.

A good place to start is to consider the following, which is known as the “Three Legged Stool” or “Pick Two” approach:

→ Timing

→ Quality

→ Cost

Three Legged Stool Approach

These three aspects of a project are very important to think about, because, they will decide the direction your project takes. Consider the three, which two are most important to you and your project, and you will then begin to have a realistic idea of the journey you are about to embark on.

So, are you looking for a high quality building turned around fairly quickly? Are you going for low cost with high quality? Do you want to turn a project quickly with low cost? These are vital questions to ask yourself as you launch this venture.

I will leave you with a few more considerations to keep in mind during your “brainstorm” phase.

→ How much land you need (small lot, a few acres)

→ The type of land you need (brownfield – industrial purposes, greenfield – urban or city environment)

→ Type of building (commercial, educational, industrial, religious)

→ It’s use (warehouse, retail, office)

→ Parking space (visitors, employees, clients)

What’s important to YOU? We can help!
